For these news clips, I covered the city of San Francisco where I covered primarily the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD), and their interactions with the Ingleside District. However, I was also able to document some of the artistic aspects of the city, with profiles on local artist. These clips were published on community news site: Mission Local, and to write took a deep understanding of the city, and the dynamics between community members and the SFPD.

Ingleside police struggle to connect with youth in Visitacion Valley

For this article, I intended to document a soccer game that was supposed to take place between youth in Visitacion Valley and officers from the San Francisco Police Department; however, no officers showed (despite it being posted on the SFPD Ingleside Twitter). I interview an officer from the San Francisco Police Department, Herz Playground employees, and other community members of Visitacion Valley to understand the complex relationships between community members and the SFPD.
